HyperVR Games is a virtual reality (VR) game publisher and development studio.
Our latest in-house game “Shave & Stuff” was awarded a “Best in Play” title by the Game Developers Conference 2023 and was released on the Meta Quest, Pico and Steam stores. While we continue working on our existing and new in-house titles, we have a line up of external studios and titles that we plan to publish soon. Due to the rapid business expansion, we are looking to invite a Publishing Lead to join us.
The Publishing Lead will manage both in-house and external studios, work with Production, Design, and Marketing teams, negotiate game slots and launches directly with the stores, create and implement the publishing strategy for current and missing products in the portfolio. This role is crucial for the business expansion of the company as you will take part in decision making in regards to the game portfolio and partnerships directions.

На які завдання (обов'язки)?
Ideation: Brainstorm and come up with new concept ideas for game prototypes (be in the know of the current trends in VR overall and casual genre), in collaboration with studios;
Sourcing: Finding and onboarding high-potential game studios and talented developers and bringing new games to publish by HyperVR;
Pitching: Present new promising games to VR platforms and ensure getting a slot on the store, work with the teams towards approved roadmaps;
Pre-publishing: Lead the game through our iteration & acceleration phases, together with a team of internal experts: Production, Design, Marketing;
Testing: Test prototypes for QA against VR platform requirements and for marketability with support of our external partners and using our internal tools, and make recommendations to improve technical performance and players' appeal to the game;
Launch: Manage the game launch on the selected VR platforms, ensure the best marketing package deals together with the Marketing team, and manage game performance metrics;
Account management: develop and maintain a trusting relationship with studios & developers and help them grow their business with us;
Reporting: Build reports or dashboards that track performance against goals.
Якого професіонала шукаємо?
Skills
3 - 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field (VR/PC/console gaming or advertising) or a customer-facing role;
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field;
Strong understanding of data and game metrics and ability to work with developer partners to come up with new games in fast span of time;
Good game balancing UX/UI sensitivity;
Excellent literacy in verbal and written English.
Software
Game stores (Meta Quest Store, Steam, SideQuest, PlayStation VR, Pico etc.);
Advertising platforms (Meta, IG, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube etc.);
Project management software (Notion, JIRA, Trello etc.);
Data reporting and analysis (Google Analytics, AppsFlyer etc.).
Considered a plus
Experience in taking a VR/PC/console game to market;
A previous role that was responsible for improving the KPIs of a game (Game Designer, Product Manager, etc.);
Having either founded or being a significant contributor in a fast-paced start-up.
