Unreal Engine 5 Developer

Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced Unreal Engine Developer for one of our clients, a venture-backed video game company established to create AAA multiplayer blockchain games.

As a gameplay engineer, you will focus on creating highly customizable action gameplay set in highly customizable levels. You will do all of this in the state-of-the-art Unreal 5 by creating core action gameplay and systems that invite and enable opportunity for players to customize them. If you love action gameplay, multiplayer dynamics, moddability and AAA execution then this is the role for you.

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

• Incorporate core shooter gameplay features, actions, gun-play, etc.

• Help fix, implement, and/or refactor gameplay features such as weapons, character abilities, VFX, UI and more

• Develop a AI that is fun to play with and against.

• Optimize the game to achieve better framerates. Both in CPU and GPU

• Support designers and artists doing their part in this.

• Integrate Cryptocurrency third party software into our project

• Access user wallets in-game.

• Make improvements to the build system as needed.

• Update new versions of the Unreal engine as they become available.

• Game server back-end work (we’re using EOS)

• Resolve EOS issues

• Set up user accounts

• Have in-game way for players to log in to their accounts

• Have accounts update all user info.

• The company is running as listen servers but there’s a task to look into dedicated servers and assess viability according to costs.

• Longer term tasks:

  • Integrate user metrics software

  • Localization

  • Adding other target platforms (we’re currently focused on PC w/plans for console).
