Lead Game Designer

CM Games is an independent game developer of mobile and virtual reality titles, founded in Estonia in 2010.

Back in the day, we created a new genre of mobile games, diversified our portfolio by making premium live games for virtual reality with a focus on gameplay and atmosphere, and delved into the action, racing, and puzzle genres.

Our goal is to build a platform for talented people who love games and create exciting yet accessible games designed for a midcore and hardcore audience.

Our first VR success
Into The Radius is a single-player survival shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world. It got into the Steam Platinum VR Category in 2021 with 91% very positive reviews and hit the first page of top-grossing projects on Steam. Into the Radius will be available on Meta Quest 2 in September 2022!

We offer to work on Nitro Nation VR, a premium multiplayer race for virtual reality that is currently under active preparation for release in Early Access.

• working on gameplay: searching for design solutions, describing tasks, playtesting and processing playtest results;

• writing extensive and well-structured documentation for the game project;

• participating in product development and project management;

• prototyping together with programmers;

• operational and strategic management of the game design team;

• offering design visions and plans for the quarter, six months, and year;

• ensuring the implementation of design solutions and supporting the team in the process;

• generating conclusions from the results.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• 3+ years of experience as a game designer;

• experience of managing a small team or mentoring junior colleagues;

• 2 or more released projects in different genres;

• experience of working closely on core gameplay;

• participation in projects at different stages of their life cycle;

• product and business mindset;

• familiarity with VR games, major platforms, projects, and storers.

Co jest dla nas ważne w człowieku?

A big plus will be:

• system thinking;

• completed side-projects, participation in hackathons, game jams, interest in game prototyping;

• experience in VR project development, ideally midcore;

• interest in cars and racing;

• experience with midcore or hardcore projects with active basic gameplay;

• proficiency in Jira and Confluence;

• ability to work in the CEST time zone.
