Historical Consultant

Rise of Kingdoms is a mobile MMO real-time strategy game inspired by history. Today the number of players in the world has exceeded 100 million. It is ranked TOP1 in the revenue list of Chinese games which entered the global market.

In August 2021, Legou Games opened in Kyiv its first studio abroad which ultimately will take care of all art creation for Rise of Kingdoms.  We now have here an experienced and multinational team of around 15 people.

And we are looking for a talented Historical Consultant to join us!

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

• Search for historical materials and visual references related to different civilizations and characters from Ancient History and Middle Age

•  Create detailed presentations based on this research to guide our concept artists in their characters and buildings creations, providing them with historical context, visual evidence and references, options and interpretations.

• Follow the creation progress and report problematic historical inconsistencies

• Act as a consultant on historical descriptions for all teams

• Ensure that concept designs are historically and technically correct (keeping in mind the game style and creation constraints)

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• Professional historian (University teacher, PHD student, researcher…) with experience of academic research  and rigorous methodology (sources criticism)

• Focus on art history, military history or material culture of antique/medieval civilizations

• Skilled PC user versed with text and graphics editors;

• Both creative and technical mindset;

• Intermediate or higher English level;
