Database Administrator (DBA)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems. This role involves collaboration across teams to ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and meets the highest performance and security standards.

Na jakie zadania (obowiązki)?

• Database Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain high-performance databases, ensuring they are stable, reliable, and scalable. This includes working with both existing legacy systems and new database architectures optimized for performance and efficiency.

• Legacy Systems Optimization: Enhance and maintain legacy databases, ensuring they meet current standards of security, performance, and scalability.

• Database Modification & Testing: Modify databases based on evolving business needs, perform rigorous testing, and ensure seamless integration of changes into the production environment.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Proactively diagnose and resolve complex database issues to ensure minimal operational disruption and optimal performance.

• Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database solutions are seamlessly integrated with applications and that they meet performance and security requirements.

• RabbitMQ to enhance data flow, system performance, and application responsiveness.

• PHP, Python & Go Integration: Work closely with development teams using PHP, Python, and Go to ensure databases are effectively integrated with backend systems and applications, optimizing performance and enabling efficient data handling.

• Documentation Leadership: Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical documentation in collaboration with the Technical Writing  team, ensuring clarity and alignment with company standards.

• Data Security & Compliance: Ensure all database systems comply with the highest standards of data security, privacy, and compliance, particularly in the regulated iGaming environment.

• Innovation & Research: Stay updated with the latest in database technology and best practices. Research, propose, and implement new tools and methodologies to continuously improve database performance, security, and scalability.

Jakiego specjalisty szukamy?

• Advanced expertise in SQL, Aurora Serverless , and MySQL.

• Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and high-speed transaction recovery techniques.

• Deep understanding of data security, backup, recovery, and integrity processes within cloud environments.

• Proficiency in PHP or Python or Go for backend integration, ensuring seamless database interaction with application codebases.

• Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and guiding junior team members.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex technical issues.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   

Will be plus:

• Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, caching technologies like Redis, and message brokers such as RabbitMQ.

• AWS Infrastructure Expertise: Experience with managing databases in AWS environments, particularly utilizing services like EC2, S3, Redis, and Aurora MySQL.
