Lead 2d Environment Artist

Values Value,  a recruiting company with expertise in gamedev, is looking for an experienced, talented and creative Lead 2d Environment Artist for one of our clients, an international game developer that released a popular SLG game.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Creation and supervising 2d concept art for environment, buildings, and props creation;

• Drawing the illustrations required for the project promotion;

• Team recruitment;

• Daily management of the environment art team: control of the progress, art research and development, technology, and quality improvement;

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 3+ years’ experience working in the game industry as lead or senior artist;

• Portfolio with high-quality examples of casual style 2D environment concept art;

• Experience in designing cartoon, realistic and other style scene props (European and American style is prefered);

• Highly skilled 2d illustrator and quick sketcher;

• Good management and communication skills;

• Strong sense of responsibility;

• Deep understanding of game art assets pipelines and workflows;

• Familiarity with Photoshop, Painter and Unity 3D software;

• Spoken and written English (Intermediate or higher).

Would be a plus:

• Art school background;

• Passion for SLG games and experience in creating them;

• Familiarity with 3d tools like 3ds max or Zbrush;

• Experience in agile-based/SCRUM development.
